Tierney is a New York City based actor, who was born and raised outside Boston. She recently earned her Masters in Acting at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow.

She holds a BA in Theatre/Dance and English (receiving honors in both) from Trinity College in Hartford, CT. In 2009 she studied in London with Richard Digby Day at the London Dramatic Academy and spent the summer of 2012 as a member of the Atlantic Acting Program's Summer Intensive.

Favorite recent credits include: Mariana in Toms River Shakespeare Festival’s Measure for Measure, Gertrude in Philly Shakespeare’s Touring production of Hamlet, Celia in Kara Sevda performed across the US & UK with Now What Theatre, including the 2017 Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Kate in Stef Smiths's Paper Cuts, The Scientists' Wife in An Experiment Without a Voice, The Poetess in Poetess, Horatio in Hamlet, and the Nurse in Romeo and Juliet.

Tierney has been performing and making her own work since she was old enough to stand outside her house and flag down cars to join her in the backyard for impromptu new plays. She strives to immerse herself in all aspects of theatre and loves to take on work that pushes and challenges her in new directions.
